Hariyali Kofta Recipe

Ingredients:-
For
Koftas
chopped
Spinach(palak)- 1/2 cup
chopped
Fenugreek(Methi)- 1/2 cup
chopped
lambsquarter(bathua)- 1/2 cup
Gram
flour(besan)- 2tsp
Chopped
onion-1/2
Cumin
seeds(jeera)-1tsp
Salt
to taste
Chopped
green chilli -1
Chat
masala- 2tsp
oil
For
Gravy
Onion
paste-2
Garlic-Ginger
paste(adrak lehsun)- 2tsp
Cream-1/2
cup
Tomato
puree-1/2cup
Finely
Chopped Coriander Leaves
Cumin(jeera)-
1tsp
Bay
leaves(tejpatta)- 2
Cinnamon
stick(dalchini)-1/2 inch
Black
cardamom(badi elaichi)- 1
Salt
to taste
Coriander
powder(dhaniya)-1tsp
Red
chilli powder-1/2tsp
Turmeric
powder(haldi)- 1/2 tsp
Garam
masala- 1tsp
oil
Water

For
making Koftas-:
·
Mix all
the kofta ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
·
Divide
the mixture into equal portion and shape into small round balls.
·
Heat the
oil in a frypan and deep-fry the koftas till golden brown color on medium
flame.
·
Place
them on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
For
making gravy-:
·
Heat the
oil in a pan and add cinnamon (dalchini), black cardamom (badi elaichi),black
peppercorn(kalimirch) and cumin seeds (jeera) for few seconds,
·
Add
onions and ginger-garlic paste on a medium flame and stir till golden brown.
·
Add the
coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala, tomato
puree and cook until the oil separates.
·
Add warm
water and cook for 6-8mins.
·
Add
fried koftas(just before eating), mix well,and cook for a min.
·
Remove
from the flame .
·
Garnish
with chopped coriander leaves and cream and serve hot.
