Bajra Roti Recipe

 

 Bajra, is comparatively high in proteins and has a good balance of amino acids. Thus, keeps the good metabolism. Including it in the daily diet in the form of chapatti/ roti keeps you healthy.  

 


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ingredients:-
2 cups bajra flour (black/pearl millet flour)
1/4 cup wheat flour
2 cups hot water
Salt to taste
2 tbsp ghee

 How to make bajra roti:-
·         In a mixing bowl, combine the two flours and salt.

·         Add enough hot water, a little at a time, and mix into a soft dough.

·         Heat a flat nonstick (tava). Divide the dough into 8 portions.

·         Make a ball with one of the portions, and on a floured surface, roll it into a thin circle about 5-6 inches in diameter. Sprinkle with flour as necessary while rolling.

·         Place the roti on the tava, and cook for a couple of seconds on medium high heat, until light brown spots form on the underside. Flip it over and cook on the other side until light brown.

·         Remove from the tava and brush with ghee or butter. Repeat with the remaining dough.

·         Serve the bajra roti hot, with a lentil and gravy dish of your choice.

Chocolate Mousse Recipe
 
 Mousse ranges from light and fluffy to creamy and thick, depending on preparation techniques. When you a make a mousse with chocolate, this will make your dinner perfect.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ingredients:-
½ cup Dark chocolate (melted)
½ cup white chocolate (melted)
¼ cup Fresh cream
½ cup Whipped cream 
How to make chocolate mousse:-
·         Warm the fresh cream in a microwave (medium) for two minutes.
·         Pour the dark and the white chocolate into separate bowls. Add half the warm cream to the dark chocolate and remaining to the white chocolate and mix well.
·         Fold in half the whipped cream into the dark chocolate and remaining into the white chocolate and mix well.
·         Fill in two piping bags, one with dark chocolate mousse and another with white chocolate mousse.
·         Take a glass – small or big as per your choice.
·        On one side pipe in dark chocolate mousse and on another side pipe in the white chocolate mousse. You can serve it at room temperature or chilled.

Banana Dosa Recipe

 

Bananas can be eaten whole, as a part of a salad, as a healthy beverage or as an ingredient of a vegetable. It can be also enjoyed when mixed with daily diet flour.





 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ingredients:-

1 cup wheat flour  
1/2 cup semolina 
1/4 cup rice flour
2 over ripe bananas (mashed)
Milk
Sugar/ Jaggery
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp powdered cardamom 
Salt a pinch  

 How to make banana dosa:-

·         Mix the different flours along with salt, sugar, baking powder.

·         Blend the mashed banana along with milk into a thick shake.

·         Add this to the flour, cardamom powder and mix well. Add more milk if necessary.

·         The batter should be comparatively thick for this. Let it sit aside for 30 minutes.

·         Heat a dosa pan. Make sure the pan is not very hot, otherwise the batter will stick to the pan.

·         Spread the batter on the pan. Do not spread around the batter a lot like we do for a regular dosa. Little spreading around should do.

·         Do not touch it for a while, add oil and shallow fry.

·         Once browned, turn it on the other side. There is no need to cook it for a long time.

·         This can be eaten as is and does not require any sides.

Ginger Soup Recipe

 

 Carrots are known by herbalists to prevent infection and ginger has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, and anti-emetic properties. When including these two mystic rootstocks with other veggies in soup form to your diet, will make your life more splendid.

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ingredients:-
1 tbsp olive oil
1-1/2 cups onions (chopped or diced)
2-3 cloves garlic (minced or pressed)
4 cups fresh carrots (chopped or diced)
1 to 1.5 teaspoons ginger (freshly grated)
4 cups vegetable stock
1/4 cup orange juice
3 cups rice milk
salt and pepper to taste 
 

How to make ginger soup:-

·         Sauté the olive oil, onions and garlic in the large pot until the onions are translucent.

·         Add the carrots, ginger, and vegetable stock.

·         Boil until the carrots are very tender (30-35 minutes).

·         Puree the mixture in a food processor or blender or mash it in the pot with a potato masher.

·         Return the mixture to the stove. Heat until gets warm.

·         Add the orange juice and rice milk. Do not boil.

·         Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
